How Merrild Lavazza Ensures High-Quality Product Data with Perfion PIM

March 25, 2025

Even with 130 Products, a Centralized PIM System Makes All the Difference

Merrild Lavazza Danmark ApS, home to two of Denmark’s strongest coffee brands, manages a relatively small product portfolio—around 130 products. Yet the depth and complexity of the product information required across coffee, cocoa, powdered milk, and professional coffee machines made it clear that a Product Information Management (PIM) system was essential.

“We chose Perfion because it is the most flexible PIM system and also the easiest to work in. We are constantly expanding with new products and with Perfion we are future-proof because the system allows us to accomplish all the things that we want to do. Perfion saves us time and ensures a much better data quality.”

– Henriette Linderoth, Trade Marketing Manager, Merrild Lavazza

The Challenge: Too Many Systems, No Single Source of Truth

Before Perfion, product data lived in PowerPoint files, PDFs, brochures, and ERP entries, scattered across platforms and departments. This led to:

  • Inefficient workflows and duplicated efforts
  • Difficulty keeping data updated across sales and marketing assets
  • Limited visibility, with no single person having the full picture

Even with a small number of SKUs, managing technical specs, certifications, product variations, and seasonal availability became time-consuming and error-prone.

The Solution: Perfion PIM for Full Control and Visibility

When planning a new website, Merrild Lavazza chose Perfion PIM to take control of product data once and for all.

With Perfion now in place:

  • All product data is stored and maintained in one system
  • Product information flows directly to the food service section of the website
  • ERP (SAP), the website, and Perfion are fully integrated
  • Seasonal or discontinued products can be activated/deactivated instantly
  • Predefined templates ensure all required data is in place before a product is published

The Results: Better Data, Less Admin, and Room to Grow

  • More efficient workflows with less time spent hunting for data
  • Sales teams will soon generate product offers directly from Perfion using built-in templates
  • Future projects like price lists, brochures, and a web shop will also be powered by Perfion
