Heading up a growing business that has been family and Australian owned for 50 plus years, I am responsible for making strategic and operational decisions of the company, ensuring that the company is set for success for the next 50 years.
We have a great team of individuals (much like the products we offer) who are diverse, unique and fulfill roles that strengthen the business. The next stage in our transformation journey was to find a partner that fulfilled our requirements around the collection of our product information and could assist us in transforming our data across our business units.

Challenges Faced
Parnham Group is an Australian owned family company based in Melbourne with a business focus on Retail, Import, Manufacturing, and Distribution. We aim to provide our customers with an extensive range of products and an impeccable service experience.
We operate two distinct divisions, each with their own unique product information requirements, Healthcare and Furniture. Both divisions have trade and retail brands. The business is thriving and in growth phase, requiring a better Product Management System to meet customer’s needs and business requirements.
We needed a system that presented a multi-dimensional view of data, and that could centrally manage product data, displaying key information across all channels seamlessly. Creating catalogues, price lists, data sheets and product feeds across already implemented systems, removing any time-consuming manual data and content importation. Bringing all the product data into a system that could be the only source of truth, minimizing errors and inconsistency.
Options Accessed
Akeneo and other smaller cloud-based PIM’s were solutions assessed as a potential solution to the challenges we faced. However, Perfion proved to be the solution that met all our requirements.
The Decision
Our business transformation journey has seen the business invest in best of breed products helping us to increase our operational efficiency whilst servicing the needs of all our Australian customers across all Brands. A Product Management Solution was one of the key areas we were keen to explore. Boyum IT conducted a very thorough Proof Of Concept that really resonated with our key pain points and detailed requirements. Continuous support from all team members at Boyum was also a game changer. We did our due diligence and Boyum IT ticked all the boxes for us.

We are at the early stages of our project but can foresee the benefits it will bring to our daily operations and data management.
Addressing The Challenges
Ensure the consistency of product data across the organisation. Challenge the status quo of what data is, including product compliant information. Enforce consistent process across the organisation when it comes to “our data”.
