The year in review for Perfion PIM

A year of progress, learning, and delivering meaningful value 

As the year draws to a close, it feels like the right moment to reflect on what has been delivered, how the work has evolved, and where the focus is heading next. 

For me personally, this year marked an important transition. Stepping into the role of Product Manager for Perfion brought new responsibilities, perspectives, and opportunities to shape the direction of the product. Moving from a consulting role into full product ownership required expanding how I think about long term value, consistency, and scale. Throughout this journey, the support and collaboration of the Perfion team and the wider product organization have been instrumental. This year has reinforced a simple truth. Strong products are built through shared ownership and trust. 


What we delivered in 2025 

Looking back, 2025 has been a year defined by focused execution and tangible progress. 

We launched the Perfion Content Store, designed to simplify how customers share product information and digital assets with suppliers, vendors, and partners. Delivered through close collaboration across teams, the Content Store provides a streamlined self service experience and represents an important step forward in how Perfion supports external product communication. It is also the first Boyum solution built on our new Angular based UI framework, setting a foundation for future consistency across the portfolio. 

The introduction of the new Import Wizard addressed one of the most critical workflows in product information management. Built on a fully redesigned importer, it allows users to bring structured product data into Perfion through a guided and intuitive experience. This significantly reduces complexity and shortens time to value, particularly during onboarding and expansion phases. 

To further support coordinated work across teams, we introduced notifications and comments directly within Perfion. This ensures product related updates remain visible, actionable, and connected to the data itself, helping teams stay aligned and informed. 

Artificial intelligence also became a more integrated and practical part of Perfion this year. Rather than treating AI as a standalone feature, the focus has been on embedding it where it delivers clear business value. From assisted data enrichment and intelligent import mapping to more flexible and dynamic Actions, these capabilities help users work more efficiently while maintaining control and transparency. 

2025 also marked a major step forward in aligning Perfion with the Boyum design framework. The transition is well underway and already delivering a more modern, consistent, and intuitive user experience. Early feedback has been highly encouraging, reinforcing the direction and investment made by the teams involved. 

Behind the scenes, significant work was completed to strengthen how Perfion is operated and delivered in the cloud. Improvements to hosting, scalability, and operational efficiency ensure that customers continue to benefit from reliable performance as usage and demands grow. 


Focus for 2026 

The coming year is about building on a strong foundation. 

Completing the transition to the Boyum framework remains a key priority, enabling a more cohesive and well designed user experience across all areas of Perfion. This work supports clarity, usability, and long term consistency without compromising the depth and flexibility that customers rely on. 

Artificial intelligence will continue to evolve within Perfion, guided by real customer needs rather than trends. The focus remains on practical capabilities that help users enrich, maintain, and activate product information more effectively. 

User experience will also remain a central theme. Perfion has long been recognized for its depth and configurability. The ambition moving forward is to make that power even more accessible, ensuring users engage with their products, their content, and their opportunities with greater confidence and clarity. 


Closing the year 

As the year comes to an end, there is a strong sense of appreciation for the teams, partners, and customers who contribute to Perfion every day. 2025 has been a year of meaningful progress and steady execution. 

With clear direction and strong momentum, the year ahead promises continued innovation, refinement, and value creation.
