How SadevTEQ modernized its legacy ERP with SAP Business One and Beas Manufacturing

About SadevTEQ 

Sadev Group, trading under the commercial brand SadevTEQ, is a French company specializing in the trading of precision turned parts and mechanical components. With 16 employees and 7 users on its system, SadevTEQmanages subcontracting operations, quality inspections, and product traceability as core parts of its daily business. 

Before implementing SAP Business One and Beas Manufacturing, SadevTEQ faced several significant challenges that put pressure on its operations: 

The company relied on a combination of an AS400 system and a large, heavily customized in-house Microsoft Access database. While this setup matched SadevTEQ's business processes well, it was built on aging technology that had become increasingly difficult to maintain, and it presented growing security and sustainability risks. Purchasing, inventory management, quality control, subcontracting, and product traceability all depended entirely on this infrastructure. 

Customer Service, Quality, Inspection, and Logistics were the departments most affected. Subcontracting operations - a critical part of the business - were managed in a much simpler and less structured way. The Quality department relied on multiple disconnected tools, including Microsoft Access and Excel, to manage inspections, non-conformities, and corrective actions, resulting in duplicate data entry and more complex preparation for customer audits. On top of that, the AS400 environment was difficult for new employees to learn, making onboarding considerably longer. 

Beas Manufacturing and the results 

To address these challenges, SadevTEQ implemented SAP Business One together with Beas Manufacturing, delivered by implementation partner ERT Integration - the partner to propose this combined approach in a way that fully addressed SadevTEQ's operational requirements. Beas Manufacturing now manages subcontracting through structured Bills of Materials, routings, and clearly defined operational steps. Quality inspections, customer and supplier claims, and inventory movements are all handled within a single integrated solution, giving SadevTEQ significantly improved product traceability and visibility throughout the entire product lifecycle. 

The implementation of Beas resulted in the following improvements for SadevTEQ: 

• Users now benefit from a much more intuitive interface, easier access to information, and significantly improved traceability.
• The solution saves time every day through simplified navigation and centralized data management, and training new employees has become much faster compared with the previous AS400 environment.
• The greatest improvements have been achieved in subcontracting management, quality control, and inventory management - and while it is still too early to quantify the exact benefits, SadevTEQ has already reached the same operational performance level as its previous system, while benefiting from a far more secure, sustainable, and scalable solution.
