Celebrating Cultural Diversity Week at Boyum IT
22.05.2026
At Boyum IT, cultural diversity is part of who we are.
With colleagues representing more than 50 nationalities across our global organization, we are surrounded every day by different languages, traditions, perspectives, stories, and ways of working. This diversity is not only something we celebrate. It is something that shapes how we collaborate, learn, solve problems, and grow together as one company.
During Cultural Diversity Week here in May, we invited colleagues across Boyum IT to share small pieces of their culture with each other. The purpose was simple: to create curiosity, connection, and appreciation for the many cultures represented in our global community.
A week of sharing, learning, and connection
Throughout the week, employees contributed in different ways. We started by asking colleagues to share one word, tradition, food, song, custom, or place from their culture that they would like others to know about. The responses showed how much there is to learn from each other, from meaningful traditions and local expressions to places, and everyday cultural details that remind people of home.
We also invited colleagues to share how they say “How are you?” in their language. This became a simple but powerful way to encourage small conversations across teams and countries. In a global organization, language is more than communication. It is also identity, belonging, and a way to connect more personally with the people we work with.
As part of the week, we released a Cultural Diversity Quiz with questions inspired by some of the many countries and cultures represented at Boyum IT. The quiz was not about testing who knew the most. It was about sparking curiosity, learning something new, and having fun together.
And of course, cultural sharing would not be complete without food. Colleagues were invited to share photos, descriptions, recipes, or small tastes of traditional food and drinks from their country or culture.
Bringing our Culture Map to life
One of the outcomes of the week was our Culture Map, created from employee input shared during the activities.
The map is a visual reminder of our global community. It shows that our international mindset is not only about where we have offices or customers. It is about the people who bring their experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives into Boyum IT every day.
Every pin, comment, tradition, word, and story shared during the week helped bring the map to life.

Cultural diversity and Energy for LIFE
Cultural Diversity Week also connected closely to our Boyum IT culture: Energy for LIFE.
Energy for LIFE stands for Family, Social, Fit, and Excellence, and reflects how we care, connect, and grow together as one global company.
Cultural diversity strengthens each of these values.
It strengthens Family when we take time to understand and respect each other as whole people, not only as colleagues.
It builds Social connection when we share stories, traditions, food, language, and personal experiences that help us feel closer across borders.
It supports Fit when people feel included, respected, and able to be themselves at work.
And it contributes to Excellence when different perspectives help us challenge assumptions, collaborate better, and create stronger solutions together.
Cultural Diversity Week was a practical reminder that culture is not only something we describe. It is something we build through everyday actions.
Culture is something we build together
At Boyum IT, culture is not only something written in a handbook or displayed on a wall. It is something we build through everyday actions.
It is built when colleagues ask each other questions.
It is built when we listen with curiosity.
It is built when we make room for different perspectives.
It is built when people feel safe to share who they are and where they come from.
At Boyum IT, we call our culture Energy for LIFE. It reflects how we care, connect, and grow together across teams, countries, and cultures.
Cultural Diversity Week was a reminder that our global community is one of our strengths. With more than 50 nationalities represented across Boyum IT, we have a unique opportunity to learn from each other every day.
Together, we continue to build a culture where people feel connected, included, energized, and proud to belong.
